Does this cost me anything to participate?
No! CARvertising is FREE to drivers. There are no membership fees, placement fees or any fee of any kind payable to CARvertising.
What is a vehicle wrap?
A vehicle wrap is a printed vinyl covering that is designed and engineered to adhere directly to your car with a lifespan of 3-5 years, however CARvertising offers advertisers 3, 6 and 12 month campaigns with the option to extend. In most cases, a vehicle wrap with CARvertising would be removed within the first 24 months or within the advertisers selected campaign length.
Some companies provide a free car. Does CARvertising do this?
No, CARvertising does not provide vehicles. Most of these companies failed due to their extremely high advertising costs. Many of the companies you see on the internet today claim to offer a free car but charge the driver a “Sign Up Fee”. More likely than not, you will have just lost your hard earned money. CARvertsing is FREE. You’ve got nothing to lose!
Can I decline an advertising campaign?
Absolutely! If you are not interested in promoting a company for whatever your reason, you may elect not to participate in placing their ad on your vehicle and simply wait for another advertiser when they become available. Please note however, that if you decline two advertisers back-to-back, you will be removed from the database of driver’s.
Will I have to provide any odometer or mileage statements?
You may be required to provide proof of mileage every 2-3 months. A CARvertising representative may also conduct random odometer checks by appointment.
Does the color of my car matter?
No! Your vehicle can be any color because you cannot see through a car wrap, although the color may be of importance if the advertiser has selected a partial wrap that leaves a portion of your vehicle’s paint exposed.
Will I still be able to see through my windows?
Absolutely. The window graphics are printed on a perforated vinyl that will allow you to see through your windows, making it completely safe to drive.
Do you wrap the roof?
Not very often, but we can and will if an advertiser wants that as part of their campaign.
Do you wrap the bumpers?
More often than not we do wrap the bumper(s) based upon the advertising clients design and how they want it incorporated into one of the CARvertising vehicles.
How long does it take to apply the vehicle wrap?
Depending upon the campaign, it could take as little as a few hours (Tailgate or Back End) to a day for a (Half Wrap or Full Wrap). In the event your vehicle is selected for a Half or Full Wrap, you may be required to make arrangements for a day without your vehicle, however the benefits far exceed the inconvenience!
Will the wrap damage my paint?
No. A vehicle wrap, when applied and removed correctly will actually protect your paint! (Unless it is an aftermarket paint job or the paint was already damaged prior to installation). In some cases, it is necessary to remove factory installed name badges from the vehicle to provide a smooth surface for application. In the event this is necessary, you will be notified and asked for permission prior to their removal. Any badges removed will be saved and given to you for re-installation upon the wrap’s removal.
*It is important to note that we require a signed release form prior to installation of any CARvertisment on your vehicle.
Can I take my vehicle through the carwash?
Yes, you can wash it just like you did before but CARvertising requires that you do not use wax on any portion of the wrap. Just soap and water!
Do you give my information to advertisers or to other companies?
Absolutely not. We may give your information to a CARvertising Driver Coordinator who will arrange to meet with you to put signs on your car and to fill out some paperwork. Also, we may give information about your car and where you drive it (but not your name) to a CARvertiser Driver Validator who verifies that cars are properly displaying their signs. But, we don’t disclose your personal information to any company.
Will you tell me where I need to drive?
Nope. You drive wherever and whenever you want, just like you do now. We only ask ahead of time that you tell us the areas you frequently go and that you inform us whenever your driving patterns change, if they ever do. For example, tell us if you move, change jobs, or get a new work schedule, that type of thing. Let us know so that we can make sure to put the right ads on your car. You see, you’ll get paid for doing what you’re already doing anyway! What a deal!
After I’ve applied, how do you pick me to drive?
We match up the needs of our advertisers, especially the zones in which they want their advertising campaign to be driven, with where you and other drivers drive their cars.
So you’ve picked me. What next?
We’ll ask that you come to our office or meet somewhere with a CARvertising Driver Coordinator to sign a contract. We might send it to you ahead of time to look over in advance. We’ll attach a copy of your application, make a copy of your insurance, and ask you to make sure all information is up to date. Then, we’ll go over a few more details, have the graphics applied to your car and tell you when to expect payment! We’ll wish you safe driving as we say goodbye!
